PhD Dentist for Specialist Dental Care in Malmö

We are now looking for a PhD dentist with extensive experience in clinically anchored research for the specialist dental care in Malmö, department of Oral Prosthetics.
At the specialist dental care in Malmö, we offer a broad dental competence. About 55 employees work here in periodontology, endodontics, prosthetics, orthodontics, pedodontics, oral surgery, and dental physiology. We also conduct ST training for dentists and have a clear mission in research, development, and education. The clinic is located near Södervärn bus station with good commuting options. Possibility for work at another location within Skåne can be discussed.
RESPONSIBILITIES
As a dentist, your main responsibility is to examine, diagnose, and treat patients referred to you. You work closely with specialist dentists and ST dentists, which provides you with unique opportunities for development and in-depth knowledge.
As a PhD dentist at Folktandvården Skåne, you combine clinical work with research. You contribute to initiating, driving, and further developing clinically relevant research projects in close collaboration with colleagues within specialist dental care as well as with external partners, such as universities and colleges.
QUALIFICATIONS
You are a licensed dentist in Sweden and have obtained a doctoral degree with a clear connection to dental research. You have documented experience in conducting, leading, and publishing clinical research, as well as a good understanding of the role of research in a patient-centered organization. Your Swedish language skills correspond to at least Swedish C1 according to the Council of Europe’s level scale.
The following are meritorious for the position:
- Experience in supervising or co-supervising doctoral students.
- Experience in reviewing scientific manuscripts (peer review) for scientific journals.
- Participation in research councils, assessment groups, or academic networks.
- Experience in applying for external research funding.
- Pedagogical experience in higher education or professional training.
